Home of the Earls of Bantry and their descendants

Bantry House is not only one of the finest historic houses in Ireland, but it also commands one of the best views overlooking Bantry Bay in West Cork. It has been open to the public since 1946, the first to do so in the country and possibly also in the British Isles. The house is still owned and lived in by Egerton Shelswell-White, who is a direct descendant of Richard White (1, Earl of Bantry), and his family.

VISIT our historic house, open daily 10am – 6pm, 15 March – 31 October.	STAY with us, either in our East Wing, on a Bed and Breakfast basis, or in our Gate Lodge, (self catering).
RELAX and enjoy our garden, then have a light lunch or tea and cake in the Tearoom. Multiple visits are possible and economical with the purchase of a yearly Garden Pass.	GET MARRIED in the Gobelin Room, registered for Civil Weddings. Have your wedding reception in Bantry House or in a marquee in the East Stables.
JOIN us for a selection of fun and practical country courses to develop your skills in a range of activities	ENJOY Music and Open Air Theatre, we have a full program of different cultural events.
